Mark Flinn
Firearms have been a common surrounding in Mark’s life ever since he was introduced to them at the age of six. Growing up in rural Washington, he became an avid hunter and his enthusiasm for firearms escalated. He received extensive training in Handgun, AR15/M16, UZI, MP5, Shotgun, Sniping and Counter Sniping, Sub guns, general-purpose machine guns, vintage arms, and SAW. He additionally furthered his training by undergoing special training in Team Tactics and Tactical Operating. As Mark’s firearms’ knowledge and tactical training expanded, he became a firearms instructor for many high profile shooting schools in the United States teaching all weapon system platforms available.
Always the outdoor enthusiast, Mark also became a highly qualified diver achieving numerous certifications in Open Water, Underwater Navigation, Rescue Diving, and Ice Rescue and Recovery. He then applied this knowledge and became the lead rescue diver for the Grant County Search and Rescue Unit for six years. During this time, he actively pursued advanced training and became certified in River Rescue, Vehicle Recovery, and Body and Evidence Recovery from the Sheriff’s department.
Both professionally and as an extracurricular hobby, Mark has been involved in many styles of Martial Arts over the past thirty years. He holds 1st, 2nd, and 4th Dan belts in several different Arts and he owned, managed and instructed Northwest Karate for five years. Currently, he works privately with Tom Clarke in the unconventional approach of edged weapons to further strengthen his skills.
In addition to the exhausting list above, Mark has extensive training in Land Navigation, Wilderness Survival, Rope and Rappel, Reloading and Gunsmithing. It is because of this well-rounded, multi-faceted background that Tom felt Mark would be a perfect fit as a knowledgeable staff leader with ATAC TV.
Mark’s pleasant personality and enthusiasm, in addition to his professionalism and advanced skill set met ATAC TV’s advanced standards. Mark works along side Tom on a daily basis for basic through accelerated recruit training and Tom knows that he can walk away and Mark will keep things continuing as they should, which is truly an exceptional trait.
Jim’s affinity for Combloc weapons began in the early 80s when he encountered an AK47 covered in mud and was pleasantly surprised to find that the weapon still functioned properly, despite its condition.
He pursued his education in combat rifles during the next two decades by developing and perfecting his tactical training and weapon’s skills throughout his Private Security Detail assignments. At this time, he found that most gunsmiths and armorers were lacking the necessary knowledge and experience to adequately build or repair a combat rifle with the shooter in mind. He decided to further educate himself in each detail of a weapon’s function and form so that he would be able to maintain his own rifles in top condition.
From 1998 to 2003, Jim added Range master and armorer to his resume by working at a US private facility, which trained individuals including military, law enforcement and those in the private sector. He furthered his experience through his employment for Suarez International teaching Combloc armorers and operators and instructing Close Range Gun Fighting in 2004, as well as training adjunct courses at many other schools. In 2006, he began training various DOD contractors in Combloc weapon systems.
Jim decided in 2007 to custom design high quality rifles specifically for the task at hand while also offering superior performance. He established his company, Rifle Dynamics and produced a line of fighting rifles that he knew an individual could trust their life on. He began to build and repair rifles as well as training armorer/operator courses in all Western and Combloc weapon systems. In the last several years, Rifle Dynamics conducted several Military and Law Enforcement courses in Combloc weapon systems; these courses were highly praised and recommended by his clients nationwide.
Jim joined the ATACTV leadership staff after Tom had the pleasure of crossing paths with Jim many years back and found him to be knowledgeable and skilled. In a recent interview, Tom proudly stated, “Jim Fuller is a true AK encyclopedia, but he also has many other great skills. He is a true pleasure to work with, without the watered down scripted instructional range BS most commonly found. I have always liked his style so that is why we trust him to work with our group. If you have to use a script, you don’t know the material and Jim knows his material.”
Jim, along with the other ATAC Staff, offer basic through advanced weapons training through web-based educational video programs in every weapon system platform available. Jim is considered a valuable asset to our company.
Lenny moved from his birth town of London, England to Western Alberta in 1980, where he was able to satisfy his love of the outdoors. After obtaining his engineering degree, he held several demanding positions as a design engineer. He was also a design engineer in the field of high performance diesel injection systems. Always searching for a challenge and furthering his education, he then moved on the area of unmanned aircraft, which included the development of target drones and reconnaissance aircraft.
Lenny always had a fondness for firearms since he first began to hunt, but as his interest developed, he decided to pursue formal training in numerous weapon systems. He mastered the handgun courses including Glock, 1911, SIG and Beretta and continued his training with his focus on rifles, specifically the AR-15/M16, AK-47, M1a/M14, M40 and M25. The Remington, Benelli and Mossburg shotguns were his next area of concentration, as well as the Sub gun Uzi and MP5.
But his education did not stop there; he broadened his knowledge base with tactical training including Advanced Tactics, Team Tactics, CQB, Anti-terrorism, Sniper and Counter Sniper, as well as Camouflage and Concealment and Urban and Suburban Hide Construction. This experience enabled him to become an instructor in handgun, sub gun, shotgun and rifle and to ultimately progress to Handgun Combat Master.
He continuously pursues courses to complement his already strong background and has completed training in Desert/Wilderness Survival and Navigation as well Defensive and Offensive Driving. He holds a Class A driver’s license with all endorsements including Hazmat and Tanker. Lenny’s been known to say, “if it’s drivable, I can drive it: two, four, or eighteen wheels”.
In 1990, he applied his vast experience in engineering with his weapon’s training background to begin the perfect career where he knew he would excel: engineering and constructing firearms. He began building 1911’s, pistols, AR-15’s and accurizing bolt-action rifles. After buying many long-range rifles, he found that most did not meet his expectations. That’s when he founded his company, Venom Tactical, and focused solely on sniper rifles with the goal of designing and building the ultimate sniper rifle: dependable, accurate, and reliable. We feel that he’s accomplished this task. Lenny has been chosen to make the custom sniper rifles for a variety of ATAC TV projects, instructional and broadcast TV and "untitled film" projects.
